Erykah Badu owned the stage as she hosted the 2015 Soul Train Awards. Performances by Jill Scott, Babyface, and Tyrese made for one soulful evening. Here are our favorite moments.
Badu’s monologues, her outfits, her swag, and her shade were all epic. This dig on Iggy Azalea will probably live in somebody’s Hall of Fame. After a short monologue on why she couldn’t have rappers on the show, Badu decided to make fake phone calls to artists. One of her “phone calls” was to Australian rapper, Iggy Azalea. “Uh yes? Who is this? Iggy Azalea?” she joked. “Yeah, hey. Oh, no, no, you can come, ’cause what you doin’ is definitely not rap.” Ouch!
